Bought my 2010 TriGlide Ultra Classic used with 9200 miles on it. First thing I found after I got it home, was that the parking brake didn't work very well. So, having worked on all my previous bikes, and having mechanical background, I too the wheels of to inspect the brakes and found them to be pretty thin and the rotors grooved. Because of the grooved rotors I have gotten very poor wear time. I have been reading your threads, and have to say the wizard seems very knowledgeable. I have read about possible automotive substitutes, and wonder if anyone has, been successful, going in that direction.

went through this in winter

The motor co has a lock on the rotors if you get them they will be from them I had mine turned very little loss of thickness good luck they are pricy. Dubois Harley really helped getting my rotors turned. ride safely fearless ( shop manual gives thicknesses to turn them).:Meds::Meds::Meds:

That's part of buying used. Your doing right by going over it good.

I usuall take em apart on a rainy day and check everything.
That's something we need to find another source, rotors
When the time comes, new rotors, i may see what a racing caliper may work. Then use ebc pads
