I am considering a trike after 45+ years on 2.Probably going with '15 TriGlide.I saw a 2010 street glide trike advertised near me with 8500 miles. What needs to be done to this model as far as heat, power stopping etc. Any advise will be appreciated. JW

The Wife/I both have 2010 HD Street Glide trikes (bought new) mine 58 thou hers 27 thou miles.
I did Stage 2 she Stage 1 mods.
Have not had any real issues with stopping power - engine mods were more for personnel issues (power) vice a 'real need'.

We really LOVE our trikes!

PS - we HAVE really put lots of extras (read $) into them but again more because of want to vice 'had to'.
Since HD has made quite a number of changes since '10 personally I would recommend the '15 if you can afford it.
Please feel free to PM me for any add. info,
Pete. :pepper:

Really depends on the price. The trike is a good trike. If you can afford the 15 you would be happier I believe with the more power and equipment. The ride will be some what better I am told. Now if the 10 is a really good price then adding upgrades like a stage 2 motor and different shocks will go along ways.

Street Glide

Really curious how much they want for that 2010 in VT - sure shouldn't be all that much?
Nice LOW miles though.....

Thanks for all the answers. The price was 24,895. A little high but low miles.NADA retail is between 17,100 and 22500.

That's about the price of a 2015 [new] Freewheeler:Shrug:
So that's not just a little high.... :gah:

Freewheeler

The new Freewheeler goes for $28 out West here-the dealers just will not wiggle!
Plus there SELLING all they get in!

IF there had been a XXX trike available when we were buying ('09, '11, '14) I would have bought it and probably kept it. I removed the lowers on my '09 and made the tourpack removable. Best of both worlds, relatively stripped down trike with a radio and CB. There are folks here that bought a Freewheeler and are talking about adding a Batwing fairing, lower fairings, and stereos. Sounds like a XXX to me.

The price for that trike sounds a tad high, no matter how clean or low mileage. Asking more than NADA retail it would be very hard to sell.

Good Luck

I guess out west [CA] they are higher..
At my dealer list start at 2499 and Color option 2599... They don't sell over list.

And no trans/setup fees. Two year factory warranty, And first two services no labor charge .. But my dealer is a real dealer, Been in the same spot since 1956 [Honesdale Pa.], and still family owned and run..

New trike!

Headed to the dealer today to pick up my new 2015 Triglide. After a lot of research I made a great deal on this Black Magic trike. My DK footboard spacers and lift came yesterday .The fun begins!

HI. Ok I'm not knocking anyone or anything. Just a fact. I have 2014 HD trike and took a ride on an older Trike and then this one. The 14 & 15 are light yrs ahead of the older ones in every way. Now that's my OPINION . Not that it will agree with everyone else's. But It's SO true. If price is the issue then by all means get what you can. It's a great ride :D Rick
