Hi new member here! The new freewheeler has got me looking at getting a trike. I have a 2012 Heritage softtail now. Can the Heritage be converted to a trike easily?

Softtails can very easily be converted to a trike. My first was a 2000 Fat Boy, and I am currently riding a 2013 Fat Boy; both were converted using Champion kits. I personally love the look, quality, and handling of Champion, but Lehman, Hannigan, MotorTrike and others all make wonderful kits for your Heritage.

Welcome to Trike Talk from Michigan! :wave4:

I think softails make great trikes...plenty of kits available, too!

scroll down the forum list and find the thread called ( trike shopper) and your on your way to a conversion.
The folks you meet there are in the trike business and are sponsors on the forum and can be trusted to help you and not burn you.

Your heritage can easily be converted and if your handy with a wrench and can follow instructions you could do it yourself!:clapping:

If not you can learn who to trust to do it for you.

there are discounts on parts just for being a member of trike talk. We get a break on parts and a place to communicate with like minded folks and Trike talk gets the support it needs to operate.

Win, Win situation amigo.

I bought my Champion straight axle kit and raked triple tree through the forums administrator and was very glad I did. I had no worries about quality and no worries about transfers of money.

Thanx for all the responses guys (and gals). Still in the deciding stages of what to do, if i want to do it and so on. Sounds to me like a conversion cost in the range of $10,000 (please correct me if i'm wrong) If thats true wouldn't cost a whole lot more to sell my 2 wheeler and get factory trike (prob Freewheeler). Thanx again for making me feel welcome!!

Try just removing the CAT first from the header pipe. Stick with the stock header pipe. This will add a little sound to the exhaust. See if you like it before spending the money on different mufflers. Your going to want to remove the CAT anyway. Add a free flow air cleaner and a tuner and you will be good to go. You'll love the FreeWheeler.
