Trike to Bike

Has anyone ever converted a Ultraclassic Harley motor trike with independent suspension back to a bike ? I am having bike withdrawals.

No but it should not be difficult. Alot of parts you will have to aquire

I never have...but it certainly could be done. But, wouldn't it be less expensive to get a 2 wheel bike in addition to the trike...or, sell the trike and get a 2 wheeler?

Personally I have 2 wheels and 3 wheels...too much time on either one and I start missing the other.

If you can afford to keep the Trike and also get a Bike that's the way I would go, As a matter of fact that's what I did. I got my first Trike in 08, And it didn't take long before I missed riding a bike. Best of both worlds..ThumbUp

I had those same ideas today !
I was caught setting with a grip in each hand of a 2015 Road Glide (black). For some reason I was having a cramp in both hands !!!
The wife started to explain something about being retired & some crazy stuff about a house of something....
She doesn't believe a person needs 2 wheels also...........

You have to also consider if it has a rake kit installed, it won't handle the same as it did on 2 wheels without the rake.

I try to ride each every other day to work. Trike for longer runs, bike for PGR missions and around town.

i miss 2 wheeler as well. For now i will just have to wait to pay the trike off. The trike is my choice for 2 up trips. need a 2 wheeler just for me.
I just sold my fender, swing arm , and bags. No thoughts of changing my trike back.

I had already considered that idea, may need to find a good streetglide some where. Thanks to everyone for there input. I had seriously considered removing the trike, I still had all of my old parts, but I have gone to far with the trike. I will find a good used bike somewhere

There's so many used Harley two wheelers out there for sale that they've gotten a lot cheaper lately. If you look around a bit you can find a deal one one.

:Agree: I have my 2013 TriGlide and a 2013 V-Rod Muscle and would not consider ridding myself of either. Both are an adrenalin rush to ride, and both very different riding experience. epper:

I agree 2:GL1800: bikes are just right I have a 2012 TriGlide & a 2012 Honda Goldwing, Trike is 2up riding, Goldwing is for me. Life is good.orag:

Yes it can be done. I just turned a dyna tike into a 2 wheeler. I had almost everything. Just had to get a swing arm. I had everything else.
Took me around 6 hours from start to finish after getting all the parts together.

Zook just bought a Dyna. Maybe you can sell him the trike parts.
