I know that it was said that it is common to hear noise in the front wheel while driving. I have narrowed my noise down to the play in the hiem joints that are in the rod that stops the brake calibur'sfrom turning. The noise seems to be getting louder because there is play in the joints.. I would like to replace them but cant find where to purchase them. Anybody have any sugesstions onpart numbers and companys?

Your best bet is to call the factory and talk to Richard.

My question would be "why are they loose"?? If they don't appear worn or damaged maybe the locking nut is loose and they just need to be adjusted just maybe ?? But I would still call Richard at TMS or contact Stallion Tech on this site.

They were worn. I jacked the front tire off the ground and had play when I moved the caliber mounting plate back and forth. I found new ones on line. I replaced them with chromoly joints. Thanks

I'm glad you were able to locate replacements. You are the first that I have heard to have this issue. Can you please post the source of your replacement parts so the rest of us can make note when we may need them. It's not a hard repair but sure would save time if we knew what to shop for. Thanks,

Ted

Trike has 21,000 on it. It previously had the front caliber plate bearing problem that was fixed. That may have put extra strain on the joints? I purchased the replacement parts at PitstopUSA.com I ordered 2 QAIxm series Chrome Moly steel rod end 3/8 bore x 3/8x24 thread RH (right hand thread) And two left hand thread.
subtotal $43.48
Shipping $12.32
total $55.80

i just bought some at the local bearing distributor in town....cheaper and made with the brass bushing and they come with a grease fitting....cheaper than TBMS wanted for theirs...worked out great....no more rattling noises.....

Oddoman can you post some pictures of the joints please? On the trike also. How about a brand and part numbers. I like the grease fittings idea.

Thanks,
