Light on radio

I have a 2013 Tri-Glide at night the radio had no light. The radio works all right except at night no light . Is there some way I might have changed the setting ?

Your still under warranty, I'd take it to the dealer. One of the down sides to the HK radio they installed in the 06 - 13 touring line is some die an early death. The radio in my 06 Ultra had its display go blank after 1 year, the warranty replacement is still kicking so far. The radio in my dads 06 Ultra lasted about 2 1/2 years before it took a dump.

I once had the display go out on the 2010 Triglide I used to own, it went out for a few moments and then came back. I didn't have any more troubles after that, don't know how the new owners luck is holding out though.

Well after checking some more , it is call the back light . Will take to the shop tomorrow and see what they have to say. I found a site on line, Iron Cross Audio that does a lot of work on Harley radios ,if anybody has radio trouble and not cover under warranty. It sure would be good if they have one that could be swapped out tomorrow

Good luck on the swap out. My CB and headset part of the radio on my 2013 just went out on my trip. 3 dealers all have said I will have to wait until it can be removed and sent in. No swapout.

Wow they must be changing things, when mine went south the dealer ordered one in and swapped it out.

I had a problem with my radio on my Ultra a few years ago. Took the bike in, was told they needed to send it to the manufacturer and then they would issue a replacement. Said it would take about a week. Three weeks and several visits later I learned the dealership had never even removed the radio from the bike, much less sent it in. When I complained to the General Manager about what the Service Writer had done, or should I say failed to do, his response was, "well, what do you really want me to do about him"?
Not exactly the response a customer wanted to hear.

I took it in Monday morning , they checked it out and called the radio people saying they were sending it to them ,to send one on the way . It came in late Tuesday afternoon and I got a call this morning saying it was ready. Every thing went pretty good I think.

FRR - Afraid I be tempted to tell that dealer to
put that radio where the sun don't shine and
promptly find a new dealer to give my hard
earned $.
There is NO excuse for a feeble response like
that..........IMO

interesting you mentioned that Mike.. my 2010 did the same thing at about 8000 miles. was only off a few hours then
came back on and no problems since. just turned over 20000 miles.

It seems the HK radio was a flake from the start when it was introduced in 06. It'll be interesting to see what kind of gremlins live in the new radio they're installing in the 14's. They haven't been out long enough to get a good pounding and wet down by some good rain storms, I hope this one is a winner.
