Wards Fan

Yes they work..Note they do blow the hot air towards the right side of the bike.
They do make noise but on the rode I cannot hear them until stopped.

This should let you know how well these fans work: I stuck em on my '13 Triglide and experimented with letting the engine management system come on. Then I turned the fans on, and within a minute or 2 it turned off engine management and started running on both cylinders again.
So, yes, they do work.

p.s. I have not noticed an extreme amount of hot air on my right leg.
:10:

I have them, I like them and yes they help. I have found that they are having problems with the Thermal Switches (I've gone thru 2 of them) and at this time, to the best of my knowledge, they do not have a good replacement. Therefore I am running mine in the manual mode. Get the fans, but save your $$$ and wait for the new and improved Thermal Switches.

I have the lenale fan on my 2011 Tri Glide. Works great at keeping the temps down in traffic.

I have the Wards Parts Werks set up.

This is a great cooling device. I should have gotten much sooner.

I have the manual switch, no experience with the thermal switch.

So impressed with it that I'm getting one for my Softail also, and NOT installing the oil cooler I was planning on.

I am installing the fan but am wondering, the thermostat has been reported to have a relatively high failure rate. Should I just run it via a toggle switch? What say all that have one? Thank you to the best forum on the interwebs!

our thermostat is defective - only turns the fan on once in a while - it should run most of the time. So I'm running mine manually right now. I let the engine warm up a little, then turn them on and leave them running.

Yes, I've left them on for hours after I got home - and it didn't kill the battery.

I've had the fans for nearly 2 years and the thermo switch as soon as Jason started selling them. TTS datamaster confirms that the thermo switch tries to keep the engine temps at about 220 deg. Works the same today as it did over a year ago. I won't run the FCSs without it. I will agree that it should run most of the time if it's over 80 deg ambient temp.
