My 09 GL1800 has the Kuryakyn heel and toe shifter on it. I have the Adventure kit with Aquashields. The shifter works fine and has plenty of room.

My question is for you if you don't mind.
I have a similar problem as gwj25.
With the new shifter have you found it improves the position of the shifter peg??
As in bringing it further back a bit?
Or is that issue just eliminated by having the heel shifter?
Im not familiar as to how a heel/toe shifter repositions things, if at all.
And or if the combo of heel/toe and floor board is better for me then just a heel/toe shifter sans floor board.
Shifter can be had for as little as 75$.
Complete Kury set a heck of a lot more.

The non adjustability of the stock shifter and OEM peg positioning is my biggest complaint with the GW in general.
For me its extremely uncomfortable. Ive had to remove the foot pegs altogether and just use the aqua boards.
I have to lift my foot off the board altogether to get my toe under the shift peg to upshift.

I have board with heel toe shifter on 02 Motor Trike with aqua shields and they work very well. Wouldn't want to do without them.

I have the Kuryakyn heel/toe shifter on my Roadsmith with the Wing Guards, but I also have the Roadsmith Comfort Controls as well which really do improve the angle and length of your foot position. I have no issues now regarding shifting.

I don't know where you guys find these pages but I for one appreciate it.
Ok now your going to make me look at the shifter attachment point.
I was under the impression it wasn't adjustable as in most normal shifters
That there was no bolt to loosen and move it up or down.
As in a "normal" shifter peg.
On my Valk the 1st thing to go was the OEM shifter peg.
Replaced with another models shifter arm.
Same with my RoadStar stock unit was gone within a week.

I listen to people here and on other forums who say its non adjustable so I never looked at all.
Its sure is adjustable, just not in the conventional sense.

Thanks interesting piece of hardware at the bottom of the page.

Re: Heel Toe Shifter for 2010 Goldwing with Motortrike and Aquashields

I have a Kuyr floor board and heel toe shifter. I still didn't like the position of the toe shifter, I don't like heel shifters at all. So I bought a 1 inch spacer and moved the shifting pedal out an inch then cut and drilled a 1 inch wide X 1/4 inch piece of aluminum and raised the toe piece up one inch. Now it is perfect for me. My boot fits under the shifter and I step on it for down shifting. I just ignore the heel portion although I put a 1 inch spacer in it as well.
Basically I moved the toe shifter up and out an inch and the heel shifter out an inch.
