Currently I am riding a 2011 Road Glide Ultra, I can see in the future a need for a trike, but may be accelerated for the wife (with all the crap I have added, it's a heavy beast). She would feel a whole lot better on three wheels, as we do not ride together often and when we do, I am an uneasy rider until I get used to her being back there again.

Wives do have a way to influence us. Mine convinced me we needed a trike as she would feel safer. We now have a trike and I have gotten to love it also.

I said I'd never do it but got tired of holding up 900 lbs. with very short legs, especially with my wife on the back. Like you, my wife didn't ride much but only because I usually talked her out of it because we didn't ride together often and it was a learning experience all over again each time she got on. Now with 3 wheels she and I ride all the time and really enjoy it and I especially enjoy GRAVEL parking lots. No problem doing a tight u-turn now.

Going to the 3-wheels is a big change for some, but once there it sure is nice not to worry about putting your foot down in sand or oil on the road when pulling to a stop!! And go to Sarasota in Jan not only to me some of us, but to see some of the trikes we ride.

Welcome, look up a club in Tampa called "The Golden Eagles MC" good guys to ride with tell them Jim Hoopers best friend Bill said hi and I sure do miss Jim RIP. Enjoy the Trike when you pull the hammer down it will take a little time to learn but when you do , you'll NOT take a back seat to two wheels !
