I've ridden a Can-Am Spyder RT for the past 3 years. While I love the bike, mine died on a cross country trip to the Grand Canyon and is being shipped back to my dealer with a stripped transmission linkage. I don't know whether I'll keep it, trade it on a new Spyder, or move to a trike. So, I;m here to learn.

Mango Mike, Here is another X spyder rider all for same reasons as you. Traded our Spyder off for a Road Smith Goldwing trike. Bike is an one year color of bright red.Bike is an 04 triked in o8 only has 20,000 miles looks to be new. So far leaking left axel seal has shown up after 400 miles of riding. Spyder has far more comfortable ride and those Spyder brakes. That is the only thing we both miss about it. Wing is to me so much more easey to ride. I am also a member on Lamonts other board. Handel here is Sand Piper. And Hi to all the rest of you to.

Mike, welcome from the U. P.of Michigan and I have tried the Can Am and I just was not thrilled with it, except cornering. It cornered so good it almost took you out of the saddle. I hope you can get your problems ironed out, but one of the bad things with them is lack of dealerships and support. Good luck.
