Wanted a trike for 45 years

Hi all, new to this site. For over 45 years I have wanted to build or buy a trike. Things kept getting in the way but I have ridden since 1965 on 2 wheels. I remember "in the day" I would tell anyone that would listen how 'cool" trikes were. I kept getting the same reply, "trikes are for wuzzies and old crippled people" and would get laughed at. Then when I started drinking "lite" beer people kept telling me that 'lite beer" was for "wuzzies.

Well looks like I am getting the last laugh, all I see is trikes and people (many) drinking "lite beer" I WILL be building a trike myself hopefully this winter, I'm am a good 'wrencher" and fabricator. Only thing holding me up is finding a garage that I can afford to work in (my ex got the last garage that I did my work in) You will see me on this forum MANY times asking tech. questions and tricks of the trade. Never knew how much I would miss my garage, notice I said miss my garage and nothing else. Well thanks for reading.

Last weekend I had a college girl ask to ride on the trike with me. When we got off she said, "I want one of those", I don't like two wheels (her boyfriend has a two wheeler and she won't ride with him) but I love the trike. So it ain't all old cripples.

Ahhhhh....trike ownership does have its benefits. :D

i have built 2 trikes in the last year. the last one is powered by a 4 cylinder car engine. it is great to have a real reverse. i am already planning a reverse trike build for this winter. the biggest problem will be which choosing which one to ride next summer.
my present trikes do not have provisions for more than one rider. i will have to correct that with my next one.

I gave a young lady.. (Early 30s ) a ride on my trike. All she wanted to know was how fast can we go. When we arrived home. All she talked about was wanting to buy one.
