I was requested to post this recipe, so here you go, Blondie Gal :D

Old World Raspberry Bars

Ingredients:
  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup raspberry preserves
  1. Heat oven to 350º for a glass baking pan, 325 for a dark or non-stick pan.
  2. Combine all but the preserves in a large bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping the bowl often, until mixture resembles crumbs.
  3. Reserve 1-1/2 to 2 cups of the crumb mixture; set aside.
  4. Press remaining crumb mixture on the bottom of a greased 8x8 baking dish. (I usually use one that is about 8x10, it works well without increasing the recipe)
  5. Spread preserves evenly over that.
  6. Scatter the reserved crumbles over preserves.
  7. Bake for 40 - 50 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  8. Cool completely, cut into bars.
  9. Bars will keep for 3-5 days, and will freeze well for up to a month.

Wait, I saw the title and I thought you were going to talk about drinking establishments that you go into , stick your tongue out and... you know the rest.
