TT rally 2013 Eureka Springs

Randy, Terri and I go there every year (will be there last week in Sept '12) and never get tired of going. Lots of good shows to see, there is a new mall and Bass Pro Shop down on in old town near the river/lake. A beautiful lake west of town and lots of good roads to ride between Branson an Eureka Springs. Can wait this is going to be a long 11 months.

Scalp Hunter and I are planning to arrive on Sunday, leave on Thursday. Gettin' excited already about this! As always, all you have to do for our help is to let us know - we're all about makin' this a team effort!!

Correction, there is also a smaller Bass Pro in Branson as stated earlier, but it is still a really nice store. It is at Branson Landing down on Lake Taneycomo.

Would a ride to Branson be a good thing? I've been there once many years ago and enjoyed it. I think the worlds largest Bass Pro Shop is there along with lots of other cool stuff. Anyone else been there? Whats worth seeing?

A ride up to Branson would be fun. Branson is known for its shows, it is hilly and very commercial. There are 2 outlet malls, quite a few flea markets, neat shops on the Landing on the lake near Historic Old Branson which has a bunch of flea market/semi-antique stores, tourist oriented shops and Dicks 5 & 10. (Dicks is highly recommended) Springfield is where Bass Pro Shops started and has the biggest Bass Pro at 300,000 square feet, has a few really neat aquariums, and a it is also worth the trip. Next to Bass Pro is the Wonders Of Wildlife, scheduled to open in partly in Spring 2013 and fully by late 2013.

IMHO - a ride up to Branson/Springfield is well worth the trip, but it isn't really a big group ride type thing. Because of the kind of attractions some may like to stay in one venue that bores others, and some folks won't be able to get enough of some other sites.

we should be setting up committees for the rally soon. it warms my heart to hear members sincerely offering their help. We will give everybody a chance to be involved.

Checking in on Sunday (maybe Saturday if a room opens up), and check out on Thursday. And of course, happy to help any way I can! :)

We will be arriving on Sunday and willing to help in any way that I can. At this years rally I spoke to Nana about helping next year (2013) and my offer still is there. I spoke with Tom Goetti two weeks ago about helping out as well. Just give me the word and I can make it happen.

Reservations made, and looking forward to seeing everyone again. We had a great time at this years rally in Maggie Valley. Blondie we will be there with a smile on our face and laughter in our heart.

WORD TO THE WISE: Be careful where you store your pizza leftovers if Blondie is aroud !!!

We appreciate all your willingness to help. This is OUR rally and it's always the member support that makes a great rally.

We will now take you up on your offer to help. We have set up certain committees for the rally, and feel free to sign up for whatever area you want to help with. The sign up form is posted on the rally website, on the rally support page. If there is a department not listed on the page, please indicate so on the message box. Specific duties will be discussed once we have each department organized and set up.

Also, we started a "blog" on the members corner page where members who had been to Eureka Springs, can post their experiences and thoughts to share with the rest of us who have not been there.

Thank you all for your help and dedication.

Zook / Marge,
Thanks for being so instrumental in getting this 2013 rally up and running in Eureka Spring. I am wondering if anyone has considered approaching an Ice Cream outlet in that area, what would be willing to donate their product so we could have a nice Ice Cream Social with toppings and all. You know how bikers and Ice Cream get along.

Great suggestion! We'll definitely look into that!
