I really wanted to use the Rivers Edge Cafe for Friday's Group Ride at the TRIKE TALK RALLY IN THE VALLEY V, but there's just simply not enough Parking Area for All of Us. Mitzie and I worked the complete Route last Saturday (Route Turn-by-Turns posted soon also). We finally selected this Place for the Lunch Destination.....

We had some really good Cheeseburgers, Fries, and Tea there. The Menu has several other Things on it such as Catfish, etc., and a host of Sandwiches including Catfish, Ruebens, etc. The Parking lot is Huge with plenty of "spill-over parking", and Lotsa' seating space inside. It will also be a good "time slot" for a Lunch when we arrive there. I could have made a "Not Quite As Nice" of a Ride Route, with a maybe "Better" Eating Facility, but I prefer not to compromise what I consider a Great Ride Route that will give Everyone a Good View of a Lota' the Area's "High Spots". The Food is Good and Simple with Very Friendly Owners...See You there on June 22nd.....ThumbUp :Trike1:

FOR ALL THE FIRST TIMERS. Hope he don't read this and get the big head.Skuuter and Mitzie led THE RALLY rides last year and they where as near perfect as could be.(except for a little rain).Skuuter will have this thing mapped out with things to see and good food to eat.The rides are at a pace that everyone should be able to enjoy.Hope to see everyone there.RIDE SAFEThumbUp

Gloria and I ate there a few years ago when we rode the area. We found it a place with friendly staff, nice customers and good food. I would say it is a very good choice.

Lucky, realy don't understand your comment about a big head. This will be our first time to the Rally and as long as I have gas, the route doesn't need to be perfect. Maybe since you all had some rain this year, this year the weather will be perfect? We can't wait to get to Maggie Valley to meet some of the folks on the forum and ride!!!! Ride Safe!

Sorry if I confused you.RIDE SAFE

The registration numbers are building and looks like we will meet or surpass last years Rally numbers. I don't really care if we do or don't as it isnt about building numbers, but its nice to know we will get to meet and hang out with a lot of the regulars from the forum! Cant wait!

Just makes me sicker that I can't attend. I may not even make it to Americade this year. Honey need dyalisis every 3days and the nearest clinic is 46 miles away and it is a 3 hr treatment. So 5 hours+ a day will be doing dyalisis

John, it is SO disappointing to all of us that you can't come this year, but Honey's well-being is definitely your priority and we fully understand that.

So sorry you won't be able to join us John, but Honey needs you and we understand that!! This has to be rough on both of you, and we all wish both of you the best - keep her spirits up, and remember to take care of YOU as well!!

A good hamburger is practically my drug of choice (well, second only to a glass of very cold, dry white wine), so the lunch spot sounds great to me, and def. a fun ride route.
