Has it quit publishing Letters to the Editor? Mine hasn't published letters for over a year. Wonder what they're afraid of???

Other than the truth nothing. However as subscriptions fall off ad revenue drops and ink, paper, an delivery rates rise, money for editing those things dries up. It may be a cost saving measure.

Can't help you on that.....I Haven't purchase a news paper in maybe 10 years.. If i need someones opinion besides my own' I'll get it from people that i meet in person, Not from one billionaire who owns all the major papers in Jersey....And probably in most states also..

We still get the Atlanta paper delivered seven days week with Sundays the largest with all the sales ads and coupons. $224.00 per year.

Our local 7 days a week paper has gone to only 2 days a week, Wednesday and Sunday about 2 years ago during covid. Content has virtually disappeared, local sports barely covered, no op-ed pieces, real estate transactions have been dropped also. Business section doesn't even have the stocks listed anymore, pretty worthless.

Sound like the Suncoast News in Port Richey, Tossed every Wednesday and Saturday.

Lovington Leader had the op-ed page and printed on Thursday. :read:

Val, the Suncoast is still being published but only on Wednesday. They have a lot of the local political issues going on in Tarpon Springs, Oldsmar, Port Richey, etc.

My mom and I used to deliver the Suncoast News many years ago, she'd toss them out the passenger window and I'd toss them out the driver side window while rolling slowly down the street. The paper back then was smaller on Saturday, I guess it was only a matter of time before they stopped the Saturday issue.

I loved the "Letters to the Editor" section. Gave a lot of insight into what the other side was thinking. My neighbors and coworkers gave a pat on the back for saying what I thought.
