Yes, It's a Trike...

You'd have a cowshit stripe on the back of your head If you rode on some the roads around here.

Happens here too sometimes.....

I think it would be fairly comfortable to ride, but afraid how much it costs!

As Pictured...$2400.....ThumbUp

Hey Skuut.. Curious about the chain guard along side of the "engine".. Is that a plastic tube? And does it make an irritating noise when the "engine" is in operation? And what is the total length of that chain? I just got a $2,500 Trek Superfly.. Only has 2 wheels though, and just 22 speeds,,,.. The tech on the bikes, and trikes, these days is amazing. That sure looks like a fun ride..

Nice Bike...ThumbUp...Yep, the plastic tubes just "float". The Trikes have a roller under the seat that crosses the chain in an "X" before reaching the rear derailleur. The tubes act like "guides" keeping the chain in line. No, very little chain noise. 236 links (a tick over twice the std. length of a 2-wheeler chain)....ThumbUp...Yep, Bicycle and Trike Technology now is amazing...!!!!!... I have a Bianchi Super Pista, and a TREK Farley Fat Tire Bike also...ALL are a lot of FUN.....ThumbUp

Looks like fun, but I'd have a rough time with it being that low; I need one more like this one.

"Tadpole" type Trikes (steer/brake with 2 front wheels, drive/shift off one rear wheel) like mine are much faster and handle better...some, like Terratrikes Brand, for example, sit much higher off the ground, and can even have "grab handles" for mounting.....ThumbUp

27 speeds, how fast do you go on it? I have trouble on a 10 speed bike and the wife made me stop riding it.

I've had it up to 34 mph on flat straights...can ride extended flats averaging about 12 to 15 mph. Seen 44 mph on down hills...overall slower (except down hills) than I can do on a good road bike, but the comfort level works for easier all day rides, and longer distances with less fatigue....ThumbUp

My Wife could/can ride Her Recumbent Trike with ease before and after Her Knee Replacement. She had trouble riding Her 2-wheeler before the replacement. Rides both in comfort now. The Recumbent Trike was Her main re-hab tool and helped Her get a speedy and full recovery.....ThumbUp

Thanks Folks for all of the interest here. You would be amazed how adding a physical activity sport like Bicycling, helps You spend long days on the seat of Your Trike without fatigue, and in more comfort. Bicycles and Weight Lifting have both been life-long programs for me, and have made it possible to ride all day on motorcycles without tiring...You can always start with a simple "ride around the block"....Your Body will like it....:)

Hey Skuut.. I lived in Utah till I was 36 yrs old and I got my first mountain bike in 1982.. A Schwinn High Sierra. Cost $400 which was a crazy amount of $ back then for a goofy lookin bike with 15 speeds and big knobby tires, but man, it was their top of the line!!. My then wife threatened bodily harm when I came home with it. Schwinn used me for a test machine as I kept breaking everything and bending rear axles and stripping cranks with
Clydesdale-like torque. They finally sent my dealer an axle made from some new, and very expensive experimental metal called Titanium.. lol. Told him to put that one in and see if I could bend it. I could not, and it is still on the bike. I put 1,000's of miles on it climbing all over Utah and wearing out several sets of tires till I upgraded in 1990. I still have it and just got it back from the bike shop after having them work it over. The techs loved working on it and riding it. New chain, shift cables, cassette, tires and tubes, bearings repacked.. Good as new!! My Superfly has the new tubeless tires.. Dunno how that is gonna work out yet.
Back in '82, the only other mountain bikes were StumpJumper by Specialized,, and they were $800.00!!!! Insane amount of $ for a bike.!!! Ha ha!!

Oh that's absolutely awesome!!!!! If only I had someplace around here I could actually ride something like that though.. It's low enough that I'd get run over by one of the idiot drivers we have here!

Yep, They're low to the ground(aerodynamics)....we're lucky here that They keep building more and more Greenways and/or lengthening the old ones.....ThumbUp....worse part is we're having so much fun, my "chores" here at TRIKE TALK gets neglected lately....:(....Good thing I'm only a small part of a Really Great STAFF,with lotsa' Great coverage with or without me being here......ThumbUp

I've owned 3 tadpole trikes plus several recumbent bikes. With the distracted drivers today I feel more comfortable on an upright bike now. We have no greenways or bike paths here.

"BUMMER" with no Greenways and Bike Paths there...we have miles of them here, plus in Nashville, Chattanooga, and Murfreesboro...and in the Smokies Area in Townsend and Maryville...Great Places to ride.....ThumbUp

Yes, I have been to Townsend twice for the SMRR. It is a beautiful place and a great place for riding!
