Yamaha's new long distance touring m/c

I hope those are HID headlights but they look a lot like halogens. Not exactly cutting edge, we'll see.

Hi Elwood ... I've seen no pictures of Yami's newest m/c yet. What I see in the video are people talking about their current motorcycles, and what they like about like about riding.

PS ... you've always had a nice avatar, but I like mine better ... just say'n !!!

I'll watch the live stream on Monday and I'll be at Americade on Tuesday so the Yamaha will be one of the first places I visit. I'll have the tablet with me so I'll try to file a report. Regarding the Avatar: Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. :harhar:

Just watched the live stream, its another V-twin touring bike.

I wonder who will be the first company to produce the first trike conversion?

Okay, now Honda needs to introduce a new and improved GL.

:mob:

Another V twin and its not even a shaft drive. Maybe Yamaha shouldve talked to the masses instead of hanging out near HD dealers.

Tempted to put a deposit down on the Raspberry Red Venture....But, do I really want to return to 2 wheels???

I wouldn't. You've got a damn nice bike.

Besides, this one is air cooled. You could shoot your engine with a 9mm and it would still run.

I'm excited about all it's goodies. Such as my gf being able to listen to her own music, and me being able to make a private phone call.

I can't wait to see such stuff on the 6th generation GoldWing.

I liked the styling, kind of a modernized Ultra Classic look. Needed more colors, but the bean counters probably came into play.

But my face fell when I saw that it was air cooled - what were they thinking? Even the new HD have oil cooling for the engines. They said they started with a blank canvas and.......?

Like putting a finely tooled leather saddle on a donkey.

Meh, why worry, I own a GW trike. :p

Saw this bike at Americade. This thing has a trunk the size of a Lincoln Town Car. Nice touches: all LED lighting, forward and reverse park assist (I was skeptical at first then I saw it work, pretty cool), state of the art Infotainment ( I hate that word), two alternators, adjustable driver backrest and floorboards the size of a snowmobile. Not so nice: 963lbs and an air cooled (human heat sink) pushrod v-twin. Image that comes to mind is Christie Brinkley hugging a boat anchor. Incredible package around a lump of iron.

I saw it at Americade also......... Glad it didn't compete with Honda Goldwing, I'll keep my wing- Thank you!

O' and it's still air cooled, nope not for me, too bad cause I'm always looking, for "that" perfect bike, Looks like my Goldwing "wins" again!
