Wont go into gear when running

So Cal
Well I got it all back together but it wont go into gear while the motor is running. Resurfaced flywheel, new clutch, tried adjusting the clutch cable from no play to 3" of play and it didn't help. No grinding just wont go into gear unless it is turned off. Any ideas? Thanks

I know on my '70 VW I have to push in clutch what seems incredibly far distance to get it in gears. Seems close to 80' (degree) rotation of pedal. Cable is attached within 2" of rotation point. Pedal is close enough to my foot as to have to bend my leg in quite a bit. But this way I have enough leg extension to shift.

My first guess would have been clutch adjustment, but since you've already tried that, I'm at a bit of a loss. Some problem with the throw-out bearing maybe? Keep us posted, I'm curious as to what you find.

Turns out it was just a cable issue. The arm on the tranny had to move more then my pedal travel allowed before making contact. Adjusted it and now it works perfect :Trike1:, Thanks
