Ok, I have always wanted to visit Yosemite Natl Park.
So while I was bored today, I got to looking and figuring online. There doesn't seem to be
a lot of difference in mileage, no matter how I figure it on MapQuest.
This is one of those trips that MIGHT happen in a couple
of years. Looking at the map, taking US 50 Hwy west to Pagosa Springs, Co,
Then to Cortez, Co., St George Ut, Las Vegas and then Yosemite.
With the differences in terrain, Im trying to figure the best month to travel in.
You have the flat areas and the mountains all in the mix. (several times repeated)
Right now, I figure July/August would be way to hot.
Im leaning towards maybe the 3rd week of June.
Having not spent a lot of time in Utah, Nevada and California,
I have no idea what to expect.
Would like imput from those riding farther west or who have made
this trip
