Getting excited about the big race tomorrow. :) Dale Jr. qualified 2nd, good to see him back in the mix, but he may retire due to his concussion problems. Plenty of other good drivers to follow also.
Happy the NASCAR season is back in session.

For those that only like to see the accidents, here's a preview:

Sorry not me, Those cars don't even closely resemble the one you can buy in the showrooms...
Might be just me, But i think NASCAR Is running outa steam.....

I'm in. Always watch unless I'm tied up.
Don't know about these new heat races though.
Watched the trucks last night, & it wasn't too bad but the points given out after each segment is a bit confusing for now.
NASCAR needs to get back to their 60's~70's format where about anything goes, and FAR fewer penny ante rules & penalties.
B.France seems hellbent on over regulating the sport he inherited. Hope he wakes up & smells the coffee, soon...

I watch if I am not riding the trike, doing chores for the Sweetie or playing a little bluegrass music.

I have 2 son in laws that are racing circle vehicles as a hobby. Patrick has a super truck, and Larry has a late model sportsman. Rules are unbelievable. Jim

Very few of the professional motorsports vehicles resemble stock anymore, gotten too high tech and too high dollar.

Even the Indy 500 has gotten more mundane compared to the 60/70's when there was new track records nearly every year.

But there's hope yet for excitement with all the Brewhaha over the new sponsor's Monster Energy Girls :D:laugh::clapping:

Just a marketing ploy as with Hooters. The push-up bra was made for undernourished women with no "Tees". Feed them a week of comfort food and the rest will come naturally. Gota have meat on the bone otherwise it's just bone :kpzxvq:

Back on subject

Sorry for being off topic on above,

Real stock car racing to me, is a 37 Ford coupe with a hand painted number on the door, the driver wearing a helmet with a golfball knob on top, tee shirt on and arm resting on windowsill, with a cigarette hanging out of his lips, sun glasses on , trying to set a new track speed record of 80mph.

Unfortunatly that was before the video days, and not many exist. Being as old as I am, I can say "I Saw That" :clapping:

Yes things change .... real motorcycle riding to me is going about 30 miles and working on it the rest of the day so I can get back home.

Leather helmet or stocking cap and goggles and a tee shirt in 40 degree weather.

Yea .... things change .... maybe for the better .....

Yup, so did I. Guess that's why I like the dirt track races and 'ol style demolition derby's. Now those are a blast.
