Where to mount the hand mic retaining clip

I apologize if this subject has come up before. But if it has, it has been a while. Because of the fact that the Tri-Glide has the switch for the reverse motor on the left side handle bar. I thought this would be an interesting subject. I have heard all of the statements about the fact that using the hand mic on the 2014 is not a practical or even an operational situation. But, there are a lot of us out here with 2009 to 2013 Trikes and I am sure that a few of you have gotten very creative. Please let the rest of us know what you have come up with and if so pictures would be appreciated. Thanks

Mounted mine on right side. 2011 TG

I had a cup holder on the right side and just hung the mic around it and when I didn't have a bottle in it, I just stuck the mic in the cup holder.
I also have a clip(carabiner) that I attach to my leather jacks coller and I hang the mic from it - kinda like what the cops do - works great.

I have the mic holder on the left side on my '14 TG, but don't use it anymore because of the difficulty of using the mic. What I did was cut off the ear pieces on the supplied H-D headset and attach a clip to the remainder with plastic ties. Then I just clip it to my jacket. Or if I don't have my jacket on, I can clip it to the windshield pouch. It's a little wobbily but works OK. I do not want anything over my ears.

I tried Velcro on the gas cap lid (after removing the button on the back of the mic), but eventually in the heat it came unglued. I think someone makes a gas cap lid with a cell phone adapter built on it - they may have one for a mic too. Someone will know.

I wish Harley would have left the bracket on the TG on the left side somehow.

Good luck ThumbUp
