I just purchased a phone holder that is also a charger. It requires 12 VDC. I am curious where the best place to tap into the 12 VDC wiring. Thanks!

Both my Tri Glides 2011/2017.......Had a 12V Socket on the faring..Lower bottom and very hard to see it..The 11 was on the lower left side ' And the 17 had it on the lower right side....

Thanks guys! I found the socket on the lower right side of the faring. It is on the same side I want to mount the phone holder/charger. I would not have found it had you not pointed out where to look! I am sure my faring would be in a million pieces before I saw it.

Thanks again.

The location of that socket is a well kept secret thats why they move it from left to right every few years ......:).....

I grab power for my Garmin GPS here. It is on the top right side of the fairing. It is an unused plug which provides switched power. Violet is hot and black is ground.

For some reason the photo is rotated 90 degrees left. The original photo I have is correct but when I upload it here it changed ????

Ultra, where did you get the tap connectors? They were in the wiring kit that came with the power assist running boards that I put on my Jeep Wrangler, and I love them. I just could not find out where they came from.

Thanks

They are Posi Tap brand connectors and are the best imo. Could not find locally but was able to get them from amazon.com
