Where did Your Screen Name come from....

"SEALASKAN" stands for South East Alaska, which is where I live and being born and raised in South East Alaska makes me an South East Alaskan. ThumbUp :)

OK...you've all been waiting for this, and I now feel comfortable enough to tell the story. No names will be used to protect the innocent.
I used to ride with a very unsavory MC. We had rival clubs or gangs in the area. I am a little larger than average, and don't take a lot of crap, violence seemed common in those days (I resigned 10 years ago-when my first grandaughter was born).
Long story made short, I took a beer pitcher to my head in a bar rumble (20 years ago). It broke the pitcher (they were heavy glass in those days), and it did not knock me out. My club labeled me "Bad Ass", and it later evolved to americanbadass! Thats my story and I'm sticken to it. 20 stitches later, I was as good as new!

OK, here is my story:
My last name in spanish means "Looking Rose", so my father got the nickname of Rosie when he was in the Air Force. The base Commander saw me bagging groceries at the commesary and asked me if I was little Rosie, I didn't know what he was talking about and he finally said, is your last name Rosa-Miranda, well yes I said, then he said your little Rosie, Well all the guys picked that one up in a hurry and they called me Rosy, I spell it different than my father and my son spells his Rozy.
So, when someone says, Rosy, all three of us turn around when we are together!

Regards,

Rosy

In 2002 I was riding my Gold Wing when a man crossed the center line and hit me head on. I ended up with my left wrist pushed back 3 inches, my right sholder had torn all ligaments, plus spinal damage, etc. So my name came from the broken Gold wing and from my broken wings.

Named after my previous dog----named her meredog other than try and remember a name----hence when i called her i would just yell "mere dog"

Mine is pretty self-explanatory. Enjoy taking it easy and enjoying the sights while out riding. Ride with a group of people that enjoy going quite a bit faster, which explains my signature at the bottom.

I was deeply involved in horses from the time I was about three years old and loved the image of the winged horse Pegasus from Greek mythology. When I started riding motorcycles it felt like riding a flying horse. The 1300 comes from the engine size of the Yamahas I've been riding for over 20 years.

When I got out of the navy in 1976 I was unemployed for 6 months then was hired by the Navy as a Pipefitter apprentice. When I showed up at the shop there were a few guys that were 200+ something pounds and I was about 170 back then. So the name "Bones" was given to me and stuck for my whole carrier. But with so many Bones's out there I added part of my old address--158. My bike, now trike has "Bonz V4" as my tag.

Many years ago when I retired from the military I sold my house, put everything in storage, and went riding for a year to search for a new place to live. So during that year I was "homeless". Some friends I rode with occasionally gave me the name. I liked it and it has stuck with me since.

Cute story Rosy.

Lady ff 1481=lady firefighter and the fire truck I was assigned to was 1481

What's great! I knew about the ff, but never knew about the truck, WOW!
Hey, did you get your pull backs installed yet? Or are you waiting till spring?
See you in August, we hope. How is Jim doing? I hope the holidays were good to both of you!

I was a Sheet Metal Worker in shipbuilding prior to my accident and change of career. Hence, Tinbasher.

That's great Tinbasher! Here in the state we call them tinknockers. So, what are you doing now or are you retired like most of us are?
How is the weather Gods treating you lately, we are going to get about 4" of snow Wednesday and Thursday, but could go up to 6". Hey, weather persons are 75% wrong most of the time and get paid 6 figures!
Have a great day!

My name is Ken and I live in Cold Lake. Cold Lake is sometimes refered to as the "cool pool" hence I combined the two to form my name on sites I visit....Ken Oh yeh, the lake is darned cold, but the Lake Trout love it!!

Grew up riding horses and bikes, buddies started calling me "Lasso". Once I became a Shriner clown, my outfit is a cowboy clown. My kids named me "Lasso". All my biker acquaintances picked it up, and there it went.

I've had this name forever but when we were kids, 4 brothers, and thoroughly set on irritating each other to death, one of the unexpected torments was the now infamous titty twister. While performing this act of torture we used to say "eeeebissss". The 9 was because 1 through 8 was taken, go figure. Anyway it just stuck in my head. I wish other things would stick like that i.e.: my name, where I live etc. But when my sister was born we were forced to act more like gentlemen and less like wild animals. Guess the fun had to come to an end sometime.......

In July, 2008, I was in a very bad motorcycle accident. I was riding my 2004 Goldwing trike on I-40 in Nashville, Tenn. There were four of us, (3 trikes and a bike), on our way to Wing Ding in South Carolina. A car rear-ended a pick-up truck which then swerved to the left into my lane. I was going about 55 mph when the trike and I litterly "T-Boned" the truck. Stubborn me, I held on while the trike rode up the truck door, went air borne upside down and then of course, gravity made me turn loose. This can end up being a very long story, so I will save the details to tell at the rally in Eureka Springs this summer, (if anyone is interested). But, I will say this, the police did not open I-40 for several hours. They told my husband that they had to wait until they heard back from the hospital, as to whether or not to treat the scene as fatality. As my grand daughter said when she saw me, "Grandma, Jesus really loves you!!" Soooo, there's my screen name--I had an Angel by my side.
