Whats the better headpipe and why

Is there a reason to buy a after market head pipe?
I am using a decated header off a street glide.

The fulsac DX or sport header has my vote.

The DX has the full round crossover pipe. I don't know if it would clear the drivebelt on the Triglide? You preferred the FullSac over the Fuelmoto Jackpot. Why, better design? better ceramic coating? FullSac steel better than Fuelmoto stainless steel? Cost?
Thanks

I'm curious why you're looking to change exhaust? IMO I'd go with the Fullsac sport pipe based on price. I'm sure you've considered a big enough change in exhaust will require some re-tuning.

I have used several head pipes and i like how fulsac peforms. I like the fuelmoto to but i prefer fulsac because of the increase in the mid rage power. My free will pull the front tire in first just by hitting the throttle.

Thanks guys, The trike has the V&H power duals and RC Components mufflers on it now, they were on it when I purchased it. I like the looks of the stock heat shields better than the V&H look at the collectors. I didn't receive the stock head pipe and heat shields when I bought the trike. I would also like less exhaust noise than the RC components give me. I have decided to source stock heat shields, either jackpot or fullsac head pipe, and CVO take off mufflers. I'm not doing it to get performance gains, strictly audio and styling motivated. I have the PV tuner, so I can do a couple auto tune runs afterwards to correct any tuning deficiencies. I'd actually rather have it dyno tuned afterwards if their was a trike capable dyno somewhat close with a proven good operator.

Good timing. I was just in the process of getting headers and slip ons. The parts manager at my dealer recommended the new Cobra true dual headers and 3" Race Pro slip ons.
I do not want obnoxiously loud exhaust like Rhineharts etc.

I heard the original 4" Race Pros last year at the dealer = very very deep rumble without the loudness.

Any thoughts?

That's what a chapter member told me also. He said don't let them talk you into true duals - not good for the trike. ????

I have the stage 1 rush true duels cat-less, And rush slip-ons 175's.. Too loud for me and i noticed a heavy loss of bottom end power... ''After'' i added on the slip-ons :AGGHH: Then i came across DK's Thunder Torque inserts... Under 20 bucks, and a 15 minute install job... What a difference quieted it down and picked up bottom end big time, At around 22 hundred RPM's in 6th i crack open the throttle and the trike gets up and goes..ThumbUp [11T/G]

The key to max torque is the proper amount of back-pressure...

I tried a set of V&H true dual once, they ended up on ebay. I didn't like the low end torque loss and the racket.
