Whats for Supper?

Dang Sully, that's a beautiful thing!!!


The Misses got creative tonight, a French "Coq Au Vin", chicken braised in a wine and gravy sauce with mushrooms, potatoes, carrots and garlic. It was hearty and very yummy.
Looking Good, ThumbUp need bigger bowl :)
 
Sully I think this may be the healthiest looking meal I've ever seen you post.

Cant say its my favorite Sully post though..might even be my least favorite :laugh: ;)

Sorry Sully, going to have to side with Zook on this one...it looks like something my wife would make me eat :cxtv: :laugh:

Mountain Dew (or 7-Up or Sprite) Apple Dumplings

2 granny smith apples

2 (8 ounce) cans crescent rolls

1 cup butter

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 dash cinnamon

1 (12 ounce) can Mountain Dew (or 7-Up or Sprite NOT diet)

  • Peel and core apples.
  • Cut apples into 8 slices each.
  • Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll.
  • Place in a 9 x 13 buttered pan.
  • Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir.
  • Add vanilla, stir, and pour over apples.
  • Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
  • Serve with ice cream, and spoon some of the sweet sauces from the pan over the top.

you can roll the dumplings in the croissants and then freeze them. When ready just follow all the baking steps but leave them frozen and stick 'em in the oven.
