Think back to the first time.......

...You were surfing the web and we caught your eye. You checked us out and there was just something about us, yes? Was it our dashing good looks? Our brilliant sense of humor? Our endless cache of technical information? Or were you just bored one night and found the lights on? Maybe alcohol was involved..🍻

OK seriously....what was it that you liked most about the forum that made you want to join and stick around?

Asking because we want to know what we are doing right and we appreciate your feedback.

I have belonged to bike related bulletin boards since I started riding my 2000 Royal Star Venture. Got involved there and liked the camaraderie. When I bought my 2001 GL1800 I was a member of the very first board focusing on that bike. Later I also joined a couple other GL1800 boards.

It was only natural I would gravitate to a trike board when I converted in 2010. I don't know if I was searching for a home or just fell into the right rabbit hole. Either way I sure am glad to be here!!!! TRIKE TALK IS AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!

I have belonged to numerous motorcycle forums over the years and when I became interested in trikes I found TT through google. I joined TT because it is the best forum out there on trikes, bar none. I have made some new friends and there is excellent information and support on just about any thing related to trikes. Excellent site!

Believe it or not I was a reindeer in a Christmas parade along with several other trikes. OL'Man was Santa. He belonged to Trike Talk and invited all the Reindeer to join. I believe only two of us joined. I enjoy it very much, fine people here!

Need to get to a get together next year, will just have to see how the wife is.
RIDE ON!!!!

DITTO!

I heard some chatter about this place on another forum so I checked it out. I liked all the helpful, knowledgeable people and that it was a place for all types of trike. Not just one brand. This place is great ThumbUp

I knew that for the wife to continue to ride with me a trike was necessary and began looking at building one. Google searches led me here.At the time as was active on a very good forum for the bike I had at the time and had been on some that were good forums with little info. This one reminded me of the one for the bike.Plenty of info available from friendly folks eager to help.I knew this would be where I would be setting up my triker home. And yes I did get enough info to build my trike here but just didn't do it.

The hd forum has good info and lots of knowledgeable members. However it was too clickey for me. Much younger group how ever I still copy the mail on it at times. Googled Trike info and found TT. I learned so much just by lurking around and realizing the members were of my generation , like a class reunion. Also being welcomed meant a lot.Better topics here where the others seem like a facebook forum. Looking foward to the NE gathering to meet some faces rather than just imagining who you are. Thanks for the welcome and ride safe. Frank

I joined in hopes of learning the do's and don'ts of owning a trike for the first time. I know with full confidence that when I am wanting to add or try something new. I can ask here first and get a map that will lead me in the right direction.

And after looking at some of these mug shots. I sure didn't join for the looks.:p Just kidding

Like many other's here Google lead me to this forum while researching the new Freewheeler. Was impressed by the diversity of riders and the different styles of trikes all in one place. Great people and an abundance of valuable information here. My wife has Facebook and me...well never been one for social media but I finally found my place here on the world wide web ThumbUp

I can barely remember what I had for breakfast this morning and you want me to remember how I found Trike Talk 6 years ago??

If I do manage to remember, it might push out another memory, like my anniversary or Diannes birthday. Then I would be in real trouble.
Oh, and she joined recently to keep an eye on me. I blame Rosy for ratting me out to her.

We just got our first trike and it had been years since I have ridden anything. I needed information and wanted to see what everyone else was doing. The rest is history and I have enjoyed reading post and getting all the good information. Thanks Trike Talk! :D

Because it is the only place to be with real riders who really care about the meaning of the ride. :p

Googled trike info when starting to learn about trikes.

Except that we were dead-set on a GL1800 we needed to know SO much about the trike part of it..found it all, right here.

Also found a community of folks we thought had almost disappeared...friendly, helpful, fun, understanding, and patient.

THANK YOU Zook for this website!!!!!!!

When I first saw pictures of the Freewheeler I knew I wanted one when they became available only if I could ride it past the gas meter into my motorcycle garage. The local dealer didn't have one in stock, so I searched the internet and found TT. I received immediate responses to my question along with friendly encouragement so I decided to stick around.

Thanks for a wonderful place for a trike beginner to gather information and ask questions.

At the time I found this site we were thinking about a HD Trike and this site had MORE info then any other site I could find. I had 7 Harley's up till that time and wasn't sure if I wanted a Trike from HD or a conversion. I came close to buy a New Hannigan until a friend of our rode up on his New HD 14 trike and let me take it for a spin. Then the hunt was over and I just stuck with you guys because if the friendly guys and girls on here PLUS the info from others. I plan to stick with you for a long while yet. I might not be on here everyday but I try to get on at least 4 times a week.

I joined when I first triked my 2004 Wing. I appreciated the folks on this site who have so much experience and KNOWLEDGE about bikes and trikes. I soon learned not to ever post anything negative about a Harley on the Harley site, even though I owned one and have owned many in my years of riding, without being ripped by members who view that site.

Other than that in the years that I have been a member I have greatly appreciated the suggestions and information that I have found here. There are so many great folks and the vast majority of us like to help others. Also, the many manufacturers that post here provide so much information concerning their products, which is also extremely helpful. Some sites come and go, but I think Triketalk will be around for a long time. At least I hope so.

To be honest I can't remember how I stumbled across TT, just glad I did. And even happier the get together is in Ocala Florida this year as that's right in my back yard. If I can help anybody with anything I'll be happy to do it. PM me.

What Made You Join Trike Talk Forum

I belonged to another Goldwing forum for about 5 years prior to joining Trike Talk. About 2 years ago, I knew the time was getting close to convert to 3 wheels.

I started a research mission on the other forum but quickly realized that the information seemed "thin and inconsistent".

I googled searched the subject of trikes and ended up on Trike Talk as a guest viewer for a number of weeks. It was Trike Talk's diverse presentation of topics both related and unrelated to trikes that made the forum stand out to me. The warm welcome after my first post was incredible.

Then their is the lighter side to the Forum with the many postings of Rhino2 and many others that I realized Trike Talk is a fun place to be. ThumbUp

I have had the opportunity to speak with many of Trike Talk's members by phone, private mail and visits.ThumbUp

I started posting various polls and threads in my search for the various trike kits that would work for me. I made my final trike kit decisions just recently based on the input and guidance of the many experienced and knowledgeable folks here on this forum.ThumbUp

I had seen an episode of Americas got talent and watched a very good magician do some amazing card tricks, and decided I would like to learn how to do card tricks. I started searching the net for Magic forums, and Trike Talk popped up. I thought this was a Magic forum....Trick Talk. Then I put my glasses back on.

Actually even before I had purchased my Tri-Glide I started looking for Trike Forums to join to get some information from end users. Trike Talk was the first and second site that popped up.

I was looking for an answer to a trike problem I was experiencing. I searched google and found the color blue and the answer to my question. Trike Talk presents and represents everything I respect and enjoy about a community of enthusiasts. It runs the gambit of divided interests that captures all walks of life. Its layout and diversity is genius, definitely unmatched on the web. Did I mention I like blue so didn't need to change my display settings.
