Just did the 5000 mile service on my Tri and I have made up my mind as soon as I get back from my trip on July 7th I am ordering DK's oil filter relocation kit.

I did the oil filter relocation and cooler (DK Customs ) install just a couple of weeks ago.It was a bear to say the least getting that thing off--no room to work.But,that'll be the only time I have to deal with that situation.

He shorted me a couple of screws for the cooler,but I did get a beer coozie.

Has anyone used the DK oil filter relocation kit and changed the fittings to use braided lines in place of the rubber lines?

I have a local business that specializes in truck hydraulic repairs that can make up anything.

I am just not a fan of open rubber hoses handling my engines oil supply and pressure.

We have two options with our Dual-Cool Oil Cooler/Oil Filter Relocation package-

Stainless Steel Braided Hose

Black Fiber Braided Hose

Either of these can be used with the clamps that come with the kit, or with the optional hose finishers.

The above are with the braided hose and hose finishers that are optional with the kit.

Additionally, we have had more than a few Customers use AN fitting and hose that they got from various supply houses. Our parts use a standard 1/2" NPT, so it is easy to get the AN fittings for them. Here's a photo showing them with the AN fittings.

I have the relocation kit on my 13 TRI. Talk about making the oil change easy WOW the filter was always a pain to clean up after. NOT NOW and it helps cool down the running temp.
