Well i didnt get any replies to my tank slapper issue, but I manager to get a good wrench in and fix the issue.
I did a lot of maintenance.
None of the ladder bar, or heim joints were loose, but I disconnected all of them cleaned, and dry silicone them with 3m dry silicone spray, the coated the entire heim joint with white lithium. 3M dry Silicone as recommended by Motortrike
removed new style MT drive shaft. greased it up through the zerks. However I did notice something. If you use pump grease gun you really cant get enuff velocity in the grease to get to all of the bearing in the u-joints. The grease will spill out the closest bearing cap. You have to press on the bearing cap and pump the handle until the grease reaches the far bearings. You almost need 4 hands to do this, so its best you remove it from the bike. Which you have to do anyway to grease the splines.
Cleaned the splines, and greased them up, and put it back in.
Finally new rubber. the Michelin hydroedges served me VERY well. And trust me tey were not worn out, heck the tires still had the injection tits, on the sidewalls, and in the treats. However they were date coded for 2008, and starting to crack on the sidewall treads. so they had to go.
Went with Michelin Defender T+H 205/70/15. The list on the NTB website at $130.00, but get this the web site is wrong, the store has them in their computer at $83.00 bucks. This was cheaper then either the Goodriches, or Coopers that I had also priced out.
Well Either I had a bad tire (something broken like a belt) or the old ones had gone so far out of balance that they started to hit a resonance frequency and thats what started them to wobble at 75mph.
Oh yes I was also down to 40lbs, on the front tire, which may have been from it sitting for about 3+ weeks while I was fixing the issues. But you never know.
Road test was great, when up to 60... 65... 70.. no wobble. I even TRIED to make it wobble. Solid as a rock.
Well out of all that its kinda hard to tell what fixed the issue, but it works now.
Thanks to all that even gave me a second thought...
