Warranty Issue Resolve on Champion Reverse Gearing - 2 Thumbs Up!

I just wanted to let everyone know how pleased I am with Champion on a warranty issue involving their Harley reverse mechanism.
I had their unit installed at the time of conversion and over time (about 4 months). Something happened that even though functional, it was rubbing enough to cause particulate matter in the oil. The Harley shop removed it and sent it to Champion who replaced it no questions asked. I was also impressed with Jim from Hannigan who gave me the original invoice information to forward to Champion as proof of purchase.

Less than impressive (actually VERY frustrating) is the shop where my conversion was done and I would never recommend him again - he won't even call me back or answer my phone calls.

Anyway, Champion does stand behind their product and deserves a "two thumbs up" from me!

At the same time as this work was done, I decided to go to a 30 tooth primary gear and have the new compensator installed as well. For anyone wondering like I was; you'll need a shorter belt installed if you have the Hannigan conversion. I'm anxious to ride it again - it's been in the shop 6 weeks now!

Oh yeah, almost forgot - I saw a super deal on a new 2013 V-Strom 650 Adventure and now it's in the garage. It's also nice to be back on 2 wheels again. Love that little bike!
