VW Trike Speedometer Problems

Hi
I have a problem with the speedometer on my VW trike.
The wire pieces that bolt to the front wheel behind the gear broke off.
Can anyone tell me how they work, can I replace them?
It is an electronic magnetic type.
I will try to attach better pic tomorrow
Thanks TrikerBilly

Do you know the name of the manufacturer of the speedo? Google them and see if there's a website, or dealer outlet. You should be able to get replacement parts for just about any of them. Or, post some pics of the set-up and broken parts. There's some pretty creative folks here, and they may be able to give you some advice as to how to make a replacement part yourself.

Nice lookin' ride, by the way!

God speed and ride safe!

As Doug stated, if we knew the brand we could probably find info on the parts needed Bill.

And, that is an sweet looking Dub trike bro!!!!!!!!

Problem Solved

I just wanted to let you know, I figured it out. :pepper:
The wire and clips were mounted on the wheel just to turn the gear. Witch operated the speedometer. I just mounted a little nylon block on wheel to turn the gear. Nothing electrical. Thanks for the reply
:)
