VTX Motor Trike fuel

I have a 2007 1300 VTX with a Motor Trike conversion. I am getting 30 miles per gallon. I ride at the speed limit (65-70 m.p.h.). Is this reasonable gas mileage or should I be getting better. Colorado altitudes by the way.

It really doesn't sound that bad. I rode a 1300 2 wheels for several years and would usually get in the mid 30s depending on how I rode it. A drop of 4 - 5 after the conversion is to be expected.

I had a 1800 VTX, Cruising on the road i got 38, But when i added a tall Memphis Shades Windshield and Leather-lites bags it went down to 32. So i guess with a third wheel and the associated drag it probably been in the mid 20's.
So 30 for the 1300 would seem about right.:Shrug:

Wow!... my VTX 1800c got 42mpg, on two wheels, with bags, Memphis shades, and two large riders... on three wheels but everything else pretty much the same, (add a top box), getting around 30-33 mpg.

I got 41 mpg with my stock '03 1800. After adding a Power Commander, Kury Pro Hypercharger, windshield and bags I got 33 mpg and with my Roadsmith and fairing, I'm getting just over 30 mpg... all with regular gas.
