vtx champion trailer wiring

Just left the Maggie Valley get together and ran down to Greenville SC to pick up a new trailer.
I had a 4 way plug put on my trike before leaving home to accomadate the 4 way plug on the trailer.
I had ask ahead and was told by trailer company to wire it yellow turn sig green turn signal white ground and brown running and brake light .
Everything works except Brake lights
Trailer guy said to tie the Red wire into the brown to get brake lights but that does not seem right
Anyone know ?

go to etrailer.com and they have several charts that will help.

I am guessing you have a 4 pin on the trike and a 5 or 6 pin on the trailer. I am on the road woirking so I am usless in the colors.

On the 6 pin you have: Right, Left, Brake, Running, Ground, and Aux power.

If 5 pin drop the Aux power.

The running lights will not turn on if tied to the brake. They make and sell adaptors, one thing is Honda is normally a 5 wire system, so maybe you neeed to remove the adaptor.

SORRY I am not more help, but the trike is 5 hours away, or I would go look at the colors for you.

i am on the road also---the trike had a bundle of 6 wires (no plug) the trailer has a four wire flat plug
