This summer the Missus and I went to a get together in the Smokies and its been about 2 years since we were out and about. I was pulling a Piggybacker trailer and while on the road I noticed a vibration. When I would get over 72 mph there would be a cycling vibration not really heavy along with the mirrors vibrating slightly. Trying to pin this down I checked the speeds on different roads with and without the trailer and passenger. With the issues at hand I made an appointment with the dealer seeing as I dont have enough room in the garage to do this work. I had planned ahead and had a driveshaft off of a 2012 wing with less than 20 miles on it in my stash for the day. The dealer wound up replacing the driveshaft and the rear u-joint on the differential. With almost 57,000 on the u-joint and driveshaft it was probably due. The tech said they found some play in the yoke and it was due, and the u-joint was slightly worn and as long as you have the shaft out its as well to replace the joint also. I was glad it at least waited and let me replace it this way rather than have it go on the road somewhere. So if you notice something different and your trike starts talking to you ,try to listen it might save you some grief on the road.

Tire pressure? check it out!

41psi front 21psi rears all pressure was fine. All pre trip maintenance was done and checked. No weights missing off of the trike wheels and Centramatics on the front. When you feel a vibration coming from under the trike under load or past a certain speed where youre accelerating and it doesnt get any better ,you might check it out. I pinned mine down and was able to catch it before it marooned me somewhere out in the boondocks. unfortunately with a Lehman driveshaft its not out in the open to check easily. I know what underinflated or out of balance tires feel like and this just wasnt them.
