Vibration issues

Hello all, new to the trike community. I've been riding 60 plus years, all makes, all sizes.

Having purchased a 2008 HPN with a Roadsmith conversion early this year my test drive was limited to city streets, low speeds.

I've noticed a concerning vibration at higher speeds, starts @ 35 or so on up to 60 where it backs off. Pulling in the clutch at speed - vibration remains.

So, changed u joints, no improvement. They were scored from lack of lube.

Discovered someone had installed winter car tires - changed out yesterday, no improvement. wheel bearings were loose. retorqued to spec.

My question is this : what is the procedure for CV joint to determine if it's bad?

I've talked to a Doug at Roadsmith ( who is extremely helpful) and agree that the CV is rarely the problem as are the wheel bearings. But i want to eliminate all possibilities.

Differential ?

I was thinking of replacing the drive shaft as a what if ??

Thank you, ride safe, Dave

I would double check front tire condition, cupping and balance. Make sure it is properly installed and nothing loose like pinch bolts and caliper bolts.

I would also confirm the rear wheels are properly balanced and they are properly installed, not bent or damaged.

Thank you for the reply. New rear tires as stated, front as well. the vibration is down below. I think a new drive shaft might help ??
