Turn Signal Cancellation

After test riding my wife's Softail Deluxe, I see that the turn signals no longer cancel automatically since there is no lean. They turn off automatically after the usual 20 flashes (or seconds) if you choose to ignore it, but not immediately after the completion of a turn. Have any of you addressed this, or do you just remember to cancel the signal? I wonder if H-D has addressed this on the TG or SG Trikes? I know it's not a big deal, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Blue you are correct, that they will not cancel because of lean. They cancel next by a distance traveled not a time or number of flashes. I do not have a TG but the turn signle cancel module for the 09 TG is the same part number of the 07 touring so i would expect it operates the same as yours is.

:) well i just cancell it but it does go of after a short time on its own, i wounder what they ie harley have done on there own built trikes ? probably the same as the bike..

Thanks for the replies. I know on the bikes the turn signal module senses the bike going into and out of a lean to determine that you have completed a turn then subsequently cancels the signal. So there is definitely something additional on the HD Mfg Trikes, maybe something in the steering head. Thanks again.
