Dropped the wife off at NYC airport today. Drove home and loaded up the Trike. Didn't get out until mid afternoon. Only did a wimpy 250 miles today.
And somehow cracked my new Gorilla Glass phone screen in my pocket.
But.....The trike is running great. Even in heavy traffic through the center of NYC.
I will end up on I-70 tomorrow.
If anyone in Tucson area is looking to meet up, drop me a line. I am staying up in Catalina.

Just to make things interesting, the wife left her Android tablet on the plane in Dallas. She called me from Tucson to tell me. I filled out a lost and found form on line.its a long shot, but I am now altering my route to pass through Dallas. They say if found, they can ship it back to me. I said I could pick it up.

Just hit TN. Won Gas Roulette again. Passed the Scooby Do Mystery Machine a couple miles ago. I think Shaggy was driving it.
Also saw some baby rabbits frolicking in a field off to the side.
Always love that big guitar across from TN welcome center. El Cabong would be happy with that. (If I have to explain that reference, you are too old or too young).

I hope you somehow miss all the rain that just went through our area just northwest of Dallas. It's a soaker.:AGGHH:

Nope. Went through the night. Hit the rain (that hit me back) in Texarkana. At 5am, it was so bad, I couldn't see the road. I pulled off and under I-30 and hung out for 1 1/2 hrs for "dawn". Then I could see in the heavy rain again. In Dallas, airport lost and found wouldn't answer their phone. So I went there in person. Interesting side note. As long as paying, DFW doesn't care what I am driving. NY airports ban motorcycles. Diannes tablet not found.on the road again. Down to a drizzle. Stopped in Big Springs, TX for this night. For those paying attention, that means I just rode straight from Carlyle, PA to Big Springs, TX without stopping to sleep. That is a new personal record of 1698 miles (beating old record of 1612 miles I set in 2004). Thank you 5 hr energy drinks....and a brain that just isn't right.Got a good night's sleep and rode last 700 and whatever miles to Tucson. Got here last night. Great weather. Was in T-shirt for most of day. Here until May 1st if anyone wants to meet up.Oh, and not to bury the lead, but....the Triglide ran fabulous the entire way in all weather. I believe rebuilt engine was put together way better that factory engine (now I jinxed it. Better knock on my head).Grand total for ride is 2642 miles. From Sat afternoon to Tues night.

Just set up for Tucson HD to do the 95,000 mile service next Monday morning.
I did find one little problem after long ride. My headlight was acting up. From past experience, I suspected the plug. Yep, corroded. Got a replacement in an auto parts store and spliced it in. Works good now. Helps to see at night.

Just chillin' at Tucson HD while they do the 95k service.
Trying to attach pic of Tucson Joe and his wife Cathy. They took us on a nice ride to a BBQ at Cochise Motorsports in Sierra Vista, AZ on Sat. Great guy and for a newer trike convertee, rides it like a pro.
Not sure why pic ended up upside down. Uploading from my tablet. Just look at it while hanging from chandelier. OK, all fixed now on my laptop. I blame gremlins.:qpnmt:

headed to flagstaff in about a week. Cant wait !!! the pics helped a little.
If you have the time and inclination, try camping at the Grand Canyon. Forget to crowded overlooks and hike in a little for better views.
And now the latest pics from Tucson area: Thought I resized them properly. Preview looks a little funky.
And Rosy, I just looked at weather map. Are you enjoying the Spring snow?

Update time. All the high winds seem to have given me Acute Bronchitis. The Doc in clinic only gave me Codine cough medicine. No antibiotics. Can only take it if I am not riding. Soooo, let my father drive me and Dianne out for a ride up Mount Lemmon. Over 8000 ft. Below are pics from it. A couple bikes. Looks like a nice future twisty ride.

Pics below.

Next day we took a ride on trike to see a showing of Prince's "Purple Rain". Showing on full size movie screen (RIP, by the way).

No resting until heading back East early Sunday morning. Not planning any through the night trips in this direction. Not really feeling up to those. BTW, don't anybody tell Dianne what I did to her pic.:qpnmt: Woops, pics to be continues on next post. Not enough room.

All packed up. Rain falling. Hopefully over during night. Based on weather radar, I will head back on southern route to avoid. I-10 to I-20, etc. Hopefully I will stop with hacking cough once out of area (as doc expects).
Just back from steak house in Oracle. Celebrating my Bday and Mothers Day a week early. The restaurant gave me free ice cream (I was hoping for singing cowboys).
As early as I get up is when I leave.

Nah. Blame all upside down things on the Australians.

Really liking your trip pics. Thanks for posting them.

After Las Cruses, the wind picked up big time. Never did let up. After Van Horn, TX, temp started dropping and clouds rolled in. Ended up wimping out in Pecos for the night with a paltry 558 miles. At least rain should be out of my path for tomorrow.

Stopped in Pecos last night. Thus giving rain a chance to vamoose. Close in morning, but all rain stayed ahead of me. The lock in TG trunk broke in Midland. Couldn't find a dealer open (freakin' Mondays) until Fort Worth. They actually had one in stock. But complications getting it on. Took 2 1/2 hrs. So then continued onto Texarkana for night. Only 614 miles for day.

Still coughing up a storm.

Will try for Cookeville, TN tomorrow to meet up with Haste Maker, maybe for dinner. Only 570 miles to there.

Crap!! I wasn't paying attention. If you'd stopped in our area, we'd have treated you to a steak dinner. Ashland KY is located where Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia all converge. Might've been way out of your way anyhow. If not, and you're doing a return trip, holler at me. I-64 runs right through here. Charleston WV is about an hour from here.

Still not paying attention...:p

You are on return trip.

See if Ashland Ky (or close by) can be a stopping point for at least a meal. I'd like to meet you.

Again about an hour from Charleston, WV where I-64, I-77, and I-79 all converge.

PM me if stopping by is possible and we can talk on the phone.

Being still sick with a not so cute Acute Bronchitis, I am mostly taking direct route home. I-10 to 20 to 30 to I-40. Stopped in Knoxville for night. May try and do the 760 miles to home tomorrow. 690 today. So many cops out in AR and TN today, you would think a series of donut trucks had overturned. I passed 2 cops outside Little Rock. Doing 1 mile below speed limit. A little bit up road I look in mirror and notice a white suv matching my speed about 1/4 mile behind me. I assume I am being paranoid, but keep an eye on Speedo.

A van passes me slowly.

Now suv is hauling. Yep, cop. Cuts in front of me and pulls van over. Probably pissed that he couldn't get me for anything.

When I go to pull off exit, can't downshift. Ball joint in shifter connecting rod popped out. What's a Harley without a duct tape fix at least once in a trip?(no, not a Gold Wing).:qpnmt::GL1800:

Take your time Bozo, you will get wet as you get closer to home. Don't agrevate the bronchitis . I get it every year for some reason. Ride safe buddy. And get that shifter fixed b4 you get stuck!

Black Wolf HD in Bristol, VA replaced shift linkage and bushings. And did it warranty and came in $1 below my deductable.
Wrapped up with 770 miles for today and got home at 1am. Some light rain in northern VA and PA. Cleared out of NYC before I got there. Great view as per usual. Went by Statue of Liberty also.
I think I kept Bronchitis to same. Doesn't seem any worse. No time to rest. Work emergency in Savannah on Monday.
5718 miles total for trip. 3 1/2 days out there and took it easy with 4 days back.
