I want to add some leds to light up inside of trunk. There is an unused wire inside of trunk that the Harley aux power port connects to. I want to plug the leds in this connector. Can anyone tell me if just the female plug is available like on the end of the power port?(See photo) If available where can I purchase it? Really don't want to splice into wires unless necessary. Thanks, Richard.

I know of a couple fellows that have picked up these lights for free at Harbor Freight. They work pretty good and the price is right.

The Dollar Tree threw me out for asking for price checks. But I did get a couple of those push led light things first. I do like that LED flare thing though. I been thinking (Danger! Danger! Warning, Will Robinson!) That I'd like a white liner for the trunk so I could see in there. Darker that heck. I found one years ago for the top box on the Bergman, but I sold the bike cause somebody made me a stupid good offer. I had butt air conditioning on that one! Put a drain in the underseat and a plastic liner, and would throw 25 pounds of ice under the seat. Kept my food and rear cold the whole time.

Your local friendly Harley dealer can tell you if the plug and the crimp terminals are available separately.

Yeah that makes sense. Going by my dealer today for something else and I'll check with them. Thanks, Richard.

Does this look like the tour pak and wires? Seems I remember an extra power cable for an extra amp?

The power feed w/connector is located under the liner in the lower right front corner. Just below the speaker vent. In fact, it is the two long speaker mounting bolts that the 12V power port mounts to

Yeah that's the one I was looking at.

Looks like item #19 maybe. It's a male connector not plugged in. It does have power only when switch is on.

Rev J,

Harley Davidson OEM Amp/Tyco White Multi-lock Male 2 Wire Connector & Terminals. This listing is for 1 AMP/TYCO Male 2 Wire Electrical Connector and 2 TerminalsHarley Davidson Part # 73152-96WEOn some models white is used on left side of bike and black on the rightboth connectors are the same fitting, just different colours

The wires are mostly used for rear lighting;)

I dont c any reason u cannot tap in there, Good Luck

Yeah that's the one I was looking at.

Dealer should have both the female receptacle and the female crimp pins. The hard wired plug in the tour pac that has the white connector is the male end.

I would make a Y connector. That way you would have the ability to install the power port at a later date if you wished. I use mine to keep both my cell phone and tablet charged on long trips.

Thanks everyone for the replies. That's what I love about this group, always willing to help. I'll post photos when project is completed. Have a blessed day, RevJ.
