I had a set of Vance and Hines installed on my 2011 TriGlide. Reinstalled stock mufflers. I have a PCV installed. The problem is the stock mufflers now have a completly different sound when accelerating and not a good sound. The good thing the heat is greatly improved. I do not like real loud but do want a deep rumble, still not loud. Also don't have a lot of money left the dualls were pricey. Any recomendations or any one have used mufflers at a good price if a little scratched up no problem they are on a trike. Any help appreciated.

The left muffler has a restrictor in it drill it out and it will sound about 80%
better. That's what i did rode like that for about 6 thousand miles. And sound wasn't bad.
That said last night i changed them out for a set of Rush 125/175? Slip ons,
I only went out for a short ride [5 miles] hard to tell right now , but there are quite a bit louder than the stock ones. I'll know better after 5 hundred miles or so.

You might look into this kit from Fullsac. My neighbor added these to his TG and they sound decent and made pretty good numbers on the dyno when he had it tuned. They are not as loud or deep sounding as the SE Fatshotz I'm running, but they do have a nice sound to them and the $$$ is good. HOME

See if you can find a set of the older Screaming Eagle touring mufflers. I have them on my true duals and they have just the right sound without being load.
