:mad:I purchased a 2005 dx cruiser trike kit for a 1800 vtx from a lady whose husband had passed away before he could install it on the bike. The bike was sold and the kit sat for 10 yrs untill I made an offer on it and bought it, but there were no instruction manuals or parts list as she couldn't find them. I contacted Triwing and they said they couldn't help me. I was wondering if anyone out there would have the manuals I need if I would buy them or a copy of them. thanks dennis

triwing instructions

Does anyone out there have anything for putting a trike kit on a honda 1500 by triwing? And is there a better way to install the drive shaft? instead of welding it.

I converted a '99 Valkyrie Interstate with a Triwing kit about 6 years ago. I would not use one of their kits again. The lack of customer service you spoke of in your first post being only one of the reasons. No parts list, no info on the rear end used & poor quality control being some others. I sent the installation manual, such as it was, with the trike when I sold it.

To answer your question about the drive shaft, not without a good machinist. If the rear end in your kit was the same as mine, a 7.5" Ford, the adapter included COULD be splined to match the Honda drive shaft, & I THINK the length would be OK. I have no idea if the VTX drive shaft and u-joint are anywhere close to the Valk.

The shaft would also have to be pinned into the adapter. Unless you are prepared to spend some serious money at a drive shaft shop, I would just go ahead & have the shaft cut & welded. If you PM me with your phone number & a good time to call, I will be happy to give you as much help as I can. Stan
