Since AB sold out to the Danes I am now strickly a PBR and Schlitz man.

There could also be some after supper drink hidden away in there somewhere.

We are pulling out Saturday morning so hope to see someof you on the parkway heading north and then back south.

11th to Leesville SC.
12th to Blowing Rock NC
13th to Roanoke VA
14 to Waynesboro VA
15 to Harpers Ferry WV
16 to New Oxfork Pa to drinjk a little mountian dew and eat some Cherries.
19 back south via whatever route crosses our mind.

Interesting beer side note: The PBR brand is (or was) for sale, if I am not mistaken for around 200 million. Which sounds like a good deal, until you learn that PBR (which is near and dear to my heart) does not have it's own brewery, it is all jobbed out.

Lat year was way too isolated to get to do much socializing, plus we had that rain comin and a goin. We have a couple of friends from LA staying at a campground on 276. They have two wheels, but will try to get them to come on a ride with us. Looking forward to seeing everyone! epper:

Thought I'd still be riding around the USA on my trip instead of re-couping from a foot injury. PT has progressed enough for me to feel froggy about making the trip up to Maggie Valley.

We had to cancel this trip, Canceled room at Ramada Inn for June 23, 24, 25, 26 so if someone is looking for a room.

Ramada is not happy about all the cancelatons, 13 as of noon today i was told, might affect holding of rooms for next year. Their thoughts not mine.
weather is warm and sunny with a few showers once in awhile. Looks like some nasty weather later tonight/tomorrow coming our way. Hope its good after that.

We made it to Hickory, NC. I haven't ridden much since Sturgis last year. Man, my butt is killing me! Like, what's up with that? Traffic was heavy from Greensboro to Hickory, so I am glad we stopped. The old gray mare ain't what she used to be! See you guys early afternoon tomorrow.

Skuuter is right the rain wont likely be anything more then spotty. The forecast calls for 30% chance. Dont know about everyone else, but I can handle an occasional shower and some clouds over 100+ degree heat any day! We got wet a couple of times last year during brief showers and didn't have our rain suits with us. This time we will. The reports Im getting from those already there is sunshine and beautiful weather right now.
