For more years than I care to admit, I could not understand what the big whoopee was about to be a biker, let alone to be a Harley biker. Yippee, skippy. Sure it was fun to ride with the ol' man on his beloved Ultra Classic but I could not understand the obsession of 'my bike'. Well, today I had my maiden voyage on a Harley/Roadsmith trike conversion. WOW, what a ride. I was a little concerned that the trike would be like riding a grown up Big Wheel. What a joke! That trike is nothing like a Big Wheel. The turns, twisties, stops and starts were a piece of cake. She handled like a dream. A heck of a lot better ride than I thought was possible. The feeling of all that power gently massaging my body and the wind in my face soon made me feel as if I was one with the universe. I got goose bumps all over and it was not because of the weather. This ride was nothing like all the rides on the bike in her original state. Sure they were fun, kinda OK, but I had more fun watching the NASCAR races on TV. Not no more!! I didn't want the ride to end and look forward to putting many more miles in the saddle.

So if any of you out there in Biker Land are thinking "I will save that extra wheel until I am too darn old to hold hup 2 wheels", think again. I am so happy we made the decision to become trikers and from the look on the ol' man's face, he is too!
:)

You go girl!!!!!! And when he puts the raked front end on, you will never want to get off :D.

Now don't take this wrong ( you either Nauga), but I also got goosebumps just reading your description of the feeling going through your body on your first ride.

Hey, the great part is that feeling will never go away ! Every ride is like a totally new experience and every time is another "first time".

Enjoy...and ride safe! :Flag:

Ultra, that wouldn't hurt my feelings. Just might be looking for a '04 - '06 XL1200C to hang another Roadsmith kit on once finances heal up from this job.

"Leg length challenged"? She sounds like 'Pest! Even with the 1200C, I'd probably have put the mid controls on it I took off the 883 so she could "reach the pedals".

You can tell people till you are BLUE in the face that they would like motorcycle even more on a trike and they will never believe you .
