Trike wings

I put a set on my GL 1500 late last summer, They seem to keep some of the bugs off the fenders, Cause they all collect on the wings very easy to install, but very easy to break when cold( I know by experience) I called Baker to try to buy a replacement for the one I broke and they sent me one free and they paid the shipping no questions asked, Good Company. They seem to keep your feet warmer when cold, Maybe to warm when hot, We will see.

I wouldn't count on rock chip protection!
1. One must be at a certain rate of speed or highter for the wind to be deflected enough to miss the whole fender.
2. More often than we know rocks can be launched by on coming vehicles by-passing the trike wings and impacting the fenders.

I'm not sure about the measurement but I use Baker wings and leather fender covers, works well together!
Do you have the new generation trike wings ? The salesman I bought my trike kit from said 3-m has a spray for fender protection. When it needs replaced just peel it off.

I have the new gen version on my Roadsmith and love them.

1. Dramatically reduced rock and bug hits on my fenders.

2 Dramatically reduced the buffeting on passenger from air hitting front of fenders and going up into passenger's face.

Baker new generation trike wings. What's the measurements on them ? Looks like they might help protect the fenders from small rocks . Pros & cons ?

I have installed the lower trike wings, and have noticed less road debris on the rear fenders. For extra protection might apply the 3M protection to fenders, I hear that works well?

Judging just by the pictures on the Harley ultras it's hard to see how it would deflect away from the fenders on my old tour glide, I can see the potential for extra cooling for the engine?:D

Had some on Pearl, but PearlII duz not have them yet.I sure miss them. They work great turn wind on in the summer and off in the winter.

I might dig up an old girder front end and some 1930's ford radious rods if tried.
Thats how we used to do our front ends in the 60 and 70's.

Interesting - I installed "trike wings" on my 1500 as I already had, and liked, "all" their other Wings (hand, side, upper and lowers). When the tabs on my Trike Wings broke, one at a time about a week apart, I contacted Baker via email and politely pointed out that even though I was a "rolling advertisement" for their Wings of all types, but I was disappointed in how easily the tabs on the 1500 Trike Wings broke.

Although I no longer have their reply, the tone of their response was, "too bad - here's how to order and purchase new ones".... Needless to say, although I still like the overall performance of all my Wind Wings, their Customer Service, in my book, is worse then disappointing.

I have heard that trike wings improve MPG. Is this true?

Yeah and they give you more power, no wind hits you at all, your tires will last longer, you trike will ride smother, and the radio works better when you are in the middle of no-where. Oh I almost forgot they makes Honda's worthless GPS actually work.
Actually I have a complete set of Baker Air Wings on my 06 GL 1800 Roadsmith and would never be without them. If I have to worry about gas savings I would never leave home. There is just a price you have to pay to play.

Strange, I guess I gave them a sad story, But everyone should be treated the same. The lady told me it was part of the satisfaction guarantee

I have the clear Baker Wind Wings ( mirrors, fairing and large Trike leg wings) on my trike since new.
I wouldn't be without them.
My fenders are not protected film guard and I have very little in the way of stone chips.
When you look close at the Trike Leg guards, you can see all the spots where stones, etc. have hit them and not the fenders.
They also keep the wind and rain off our legs.
Also, because I have the clear ones on my white trike, you can't even tell they are on as they blend into the trike.

I had Baker wings on my 2012 Spyder SEM5 RT A/C. It was the best part of the Spyder. Actually it was the only part of the Spyder I liked. They must have improved the GPS on the 2012 or I just don't have anything to compare it to. I have the satellite radio so tunes are not problem so far. Its been said I have CDO. If I can make it better I will and if not I :D and ride. Now that I know the sea's will part for my Motor Trike I'm a orderin a set of trike wings. ThumbUp
