i was wondering what type of trike wings yu trikers use. i was thinkimg of baker trike wings but i heard they don't fit over chrome valve covers. thanks john

I haven't seen the trike wings in person. On the website they look like a larger version of the leg wings. Haven't seen these in person on a trike or a 2 wheeler. I do know folks with the hand wings and the air wings on an 1800, and they like them. On Her Purpleness, a 1500, we have the air wings and hand wings, they work very well.

Just looked up the Trike Wings on the Baker website. Baker Built Air Wings - Trike Wings for your Honda GL1800 Gold Wing Trike
They probably work, Baker seems to test out their stuff pretty well, but I believe the word is "fugly"

I thought the same thing (fugly) until I bought the trike with them already installed. They aren't pretty but they are functional.

billy4644 - your link doesn't work. From what it looks like it is another forum, and I think the software for this board doesn't link to other forums. Try to copy a picture and attach it to your post.

BTW, I did look up the trike wings on some other sites, and while Baker makes wings that work very well, sometimes it is function over form, as in this case. I must admit they do look marginally better not being opaque white.

I have all the baker wings (mirrors, fairing, trike leg wings) on my trike plus the ex tall tulsa clear vent w/s.
All the wings are clear and from a few feet away, you cann't tell they are on the trike.
They really help and i would'nt be without them.

I have a full set of Baker Wings including the valve covers and I also have the chrome covers on my 2006 Goldwing Lehman Monarch II. Keeps the bugs off the fenders and the rest are all very functional also. Wouldn't ride without them.

I have the mirror wings, the uppers, the lowers and the trike wings.

The trike wings work well for keeping the rain away from your feet as well as bugs off and cinders off the fenders.

Well worth the dollars....just don't walk into them as they will break....but Baker will sell you a single wing!

A mechanic I am not, but followed the directions (even used my neighbors drill press and these went on without a hitch. My son installed the left side, and I followed his lead. They went on quite easy.

I recently put on a set of the Baker Trike Wings. Doing some searches on the mounting I found that a semi-snug fit seems to be normal. The wings can be moved when mounting is complete. I did choose to tie-wrap thru the unused machined hole at the top of the wing. This held the wing in place to my satisfaction.
The wings themselves are absolutely what they advertise to be. The wind and debris on the front side of the fenders are nearly non-existent now. They really do deflect a great amount of air around the rear end. I do not have enough mileage (high speed) to have any idea on mpg change. I put a couple pictures of them in my album. They are clear and don't detract from the overall trike. I am very satisfied with them.
