Trike Talk / TOI Mid America Gathering

There is a gathering in central Missouri June 19 Through June 23, 2016. We have blocked the entire hotel in Osage Beach, Missouri for this event. The hotel has and indoor and an outdoor swimming pools. There is an outlet mall next door you can walk to. Plenty of shopping near by.

There are a limited number of (smoking, pet friendly, etc.) rooms available.

There is a one time non-refundable Pet fee of $20 due at check-in.

Pet rules apply.

Individuals will have until 3pm, 14 days prior to their arrival date to cancel.

May 18, 2016 is deadline to book at this reduced rate. After that the rooms go for the full rate.

Rooms cannot be reserved on line, You have to reserve them on the phone only.

You must tell them you are with Trike Talk / Trike Owners International to book a room.

Sounds interesting but, as I see it , I have to travel north about 1300 miles to ride "down" there?? It is nice to see new places to travel to!! I'll be checking on that date also.

I'm just wondering why the move from Eureka Springs to Osage Beach
spent some time going over maps of great riding roads and I see plenty over in Arkansas but few if any in the Osage beach area. I'm sure there must be something............

We held gatherings in Eureka Springs for three years. We made the decision at the first reunion in Eureka Springs to move the gathering about every 2 -3 years. Osage Beach is in the heart of the Lake of the Ozarks, and there is some great riding in that area. The scenery is breath taking. We are promoting more regional gatherings rather than one big national gathering.

Anyone can organize a gathering (rally) in their area or anywhere else and let everyone know about it on this site.

Although I have to wonder about the "Beach" part. According to Google Maps it is nowhere near the ocean. :laugh:

Missouri gathering

Tom you fast talking devil, you have talked me in to making the Missouri gathering, I have never been to Osage Beach, but have always wanted to. I will have to look it up on the map ( never heard of it ) Darlene and I will make out reservation next week. we should have some new faces to visit with. and am sure there will be many old friends there also.

This will be the shortest ride I've had for a gathering. Only 160 miles I can do that in my sleep.

Gatheng Dates

The dates in the original post are the 18th - 23rd. I am planning to get there the evening of the 17th to make sure I don't miss any exciting events on the first day, then leaving the morning of the 24th so I don't miss the Awards Ceremony at the end. Am I missing something here?

Yes, Jr is trying to get a large group together. He says the more the merrier so everybody feel free to jump in here. The plan is for everyone to meet at Jr's house the evening of the 15th. He is going to put on a big feed and put everyone up for the night. The next morning, after he serves breakfast, he will lead the group north for a two-day ride to Osage Beach. Should be a lot of fun.

I will probably miss it because Jr will have used his 12-gauge on me long before June due to me posting this.

Got my reservation made, arriving the 19th, leaving the 24th. Glad we got that settled. Now I can concentrate on gathering up wrecked bikes to sell to Jr for parts. :clapping:
