Trike Parking Brake quit working???

Of course, only when traveling without the Service Manual...does something quit.....The 2018 Trike E-brake stopped ratcheting and does not engage......I removed the tiny coiled spring from on top worried it might fall out while travelling. I can't see why the downward push of the petal no longer engages the brake......Any ideas that I might try while travelling???? No Park Brake so just leaving the Trike in gear when stopped.

On /With both my Tri's, I never used the park brake....I just parked in first gear...Some just use a Velcro strap to hold the hand brake on for extra measure....

Not sure but over time the pads wear out and they have to be readjusted for the parking brake to work properly.

I know this was a issue on the early Triglides.

If i'm wrong someone correct me. That spring when in it's proper position pushes a lil lever up against the part that ratchets. Sorry I can't explain how to install it. Maybe if you get under there & move the mechanism, you'll see how that spring goes.
