Trike or Camper

I am starting to get the itch again. I have not decided if I want to buy a trike or a camper. Will decide in June/ July..

So I like to take a poll..

Just a little back ground we like to travel so it will be me, wife and grandson ( 11 yr old)

I would get a trike with a rear bench seat for 2.

My Thoughts

For me this would be an easy one. A trike with a camper small enough to sleep 3 qand pull behind the trike. I like to tinker, so a home made camper on a Harbor Frieght trailer would be a great project.

Not VW powered but this local trike is about the best example of self-contained triking that I could imagine.

My wife bought me 5 acres with a huge barn. Now I have three jeeps, two boats, a bean buggy, bmw z3, ditch witch 8020 with backhoe, f350 truck, Toyota 4x4, 5 trailers, 1 Saturn car, an RV, and just bought a VW trike. Also, 2 dogs and 2 cats. Moral of the story is--don't buy a barn. Now everything is for sale.

This is our camper/trike rig. We're avid travelers and the trike provides a great way to get around when we reach our destination; wherever that might be. Tows nicely and we get much better gas mileage pulling it than we do pulling the cage. We'll spend nearly the entire month of May on the road taking in the mid-west and east coast as we visit ole military families we knew and served with over the years... Trailer is a Kendon three-rail...
