Trike magazine

Anyone know if they print any trike magazines in the US. I found the trike magazine they have in the UK but it looks like after shipping it's 12.00 an issue. I know I could do digital but I prefer the hard copies.

Bagger Magazine is shutting down next month. The final issue will have a review of the Freewheeler.

American Iron is composing a piece about trike kits, but no date or content as of yet.

Advertising $$ drives the content, and there's not enough ad money to support a trike magazine. Sadly :(

Are you sure? Surprises me that Baggers Mag is shutting down. Just was talking to Bonnier yesterday and no one mentioned that to me.

Yes, advert $ for print is now competing with online advert $, it's getting tighter and tighter.

There have been a few companies that said they were going to start doing quarterly Trike publications. None of them have lasted.

I would definitely subscribe...with the Trike market growing, we may eventually see one.

Take a look at these:

www.trikemagazine.com for subscription info.

As earlier mentioned www.btw-trikers (Brothers of the Third Wheel) publishes 6 times a year.

Too bad there aren't more publications and articles for trikers. We have a very large membership and certainly spend big $$, could be a good audience for advertisers and publishers.

I was wondering if you were refering to this UK magazine, www.trikemagazine.com, when you were thinking it would be $12.00 an issue after shipping? If so, where did you see the info about shipping cost? Thanks

I just signed up for 4 issues today (2/22/15). It's £19.95 and I paid with my Visa card.

Visa got a generous currency exchange rate, and Visa nicked me for $30.86 ~ $7.72 per copy.

That not terrible, considering that it's delivered to my mail box.

Besides, now that I'm a subscriber with a password, I can keep up-to-date with the sale prices of Reliant Robins on this side of the pond :D

Yes, we've seen it before, but I never get tired of it

that is about the $$$ I came up with per issue, that is why I was asking about the $12.00 figure :wave4:

Redid the calculation and came out with 7.90, not sure where I got the 12 from. Maybe I had a different address. Might just buy one issue and check it out, still kinda steep.

Currency exchange rates are dynamic. When you calculated the $12 per issue rate, I'm sure you were correct. But Visa, M-card, et al adjust with market conditions. I mentioned the specific date in my post because, next week, it will be different.

"Triker" is not really a trike magazine; it's actually a collection of minutes posted by BTW's various chapters. There's no "magazine" content, unless you count the advertisements.

Thanks for that info, I was thinking of joining just to get the magazine, it would have been a big let down when I looked at the first issue:xzqxz: :wave4:

you are correct, it is kinda steep. I was looking at the back issues and like you, was thinking of buying one just to see what the mag. was like.
