Triglide tourpac

I rapped a nylon cord (small) around the standard tur pak cable, but it is attached to the screws that hold the cable. I think I will relocate it. The tur pak is flimsy as hell and real expensive. Mine was cracked when I got the trike and my paint guy was able to fix it.
 
I had the same thing happen to my TourPac, ripped the hinges completely off the bottom half. I think the bottom pan by itself was $575 dollars. My dealer replaced all since I bought the piece there and they installed it They reused all lights and hardware.


29 inch piece of plastic coated cable.(old dog run)
Two solder type electrical connectors.(I brazed them)

gary, in the close up it looks like you might have too much slack in the backup. JMO

If my cable breaks, there is only about 1/2" more chain so the lid wouldn't drop very far if at all.
