TriGlide to UK

Hi guys, Sold my Lehman Ultra Classic last August/September and I'm looking at another HD. I live in the UK and want to find out if anyone on this forum has imported a TriGlide from US to UK? Would there be emission or other issues which would make this a problem? Also I can't seem to get the current price on the TG if anyone can help I would be grateful. I'm just tired of buying a bike UK price for Road King $26500, then another $13000 for the trike end and you end up with panniers, back wheel mudguard etc., that you can't use! I have done this 3 times in the last ten years, and the wife's sick of it

Johnlyn,
I would think that anything Harley makes would have no emission issues in the UK.

Don't they have a lot of Harley dealers in the UK ?...are you saying they don't sell T/G's there ?

The price for a new T/G may be a little diff. at diff. dealers here, I bought a new 2013 in Jan.
I paid $32,200 total, out the door. don't know if that's good or bad.
Hope you find what your looking for.

Hi You cannot purchase a TriGlide in the UK. Not at the moment and I was told (some time ago) that they weren't going to import them to the UK. Hope I'm wrong on that point, but I haven't seen one over here, infact I've never seen one. What kind of axle do they have? Hope it isn't the same as the crappy one that was in my Ultra in which the bearing gave up at 17500 miles and cost a fortune to replace, but that's a long story :gah:

Contact our member "the Wolf" for information on importing a trike from the US to the UK. He has done it successfully several times so should have all the details for you :).

Don't forget, you'll have to have it converted to right-side drive so you can drive on the UK side of the road!!!!

Sorry, couldn't help myself, but I hope you can get what you want. :wave4:

I'm pretty sure the only changes you will need to make would be headlight to dip left and running light portion of front turn lights must be disabled. That is all I had to do when I was stationed there in the late 90's.

You might need to have it MSVA'd prior to registration because it won't have the euro approval. And don't forget to take vat and import duties into account. I considered importing a Harley Trike about ten years ago but the cost was too high for me in the end.

Are they sold in Europe? The process is easier from inside the EU I imagine.
