Has anyone here done a adjustment to the neck brgs on their triglide?
Mine has 12,500 miles and iv got a low speed head shake...It always had some, but seems to have gotten worse...
I did put a rear tire on the front and it never really made any diff...I also lifted the trike front end and find NO play in the brgs..The dealer told me this was a maintenance thing on trikes, and a fair amount of preload is needed on the brgs...I haven't tried to do a swing test with the dampner unhooked yet, but I just cant relate to putting a big load on the brgs..
Thx in advance for any info, or past experience etc....Hankb
Im presuming I can do this by just removing the lower switch panel to get at the top nut and adjuster nuts????

You can also get to the stem nut by removing the outer fairing and then remove the radio. Opens that area up very nicely for tightening. My nut came loose on my 13 at about 10k. I just tighten it down as snug as possible. If you can turn the front end with the dampener disconnected Try doing the swing test from full deflection is should just swing once no more. They used to have a locking tab washer below the nut but not anymore. Good luck

I had mine adjusted (tightened) at about the same mileage you are now. It's starting to feel like it needs it again and I'm at 20K now.

We were heading for Sturgis traveling through Joplin, Mo. when I noticed the loose front end. I stopped at the Harley dealer on the south end of town and they adjusted the neck bearing. Nice people to deal with. Had 71K miles on the bike with no previous problems.
